Today, November 14, is Challenge Day in Ingersoll. Gathering at the Ingersoll District Memorial Arena, IDCI students and community leaders will participate in a workshop. The goal of this day is to develop connections and empathy to combat isolation, loneliness, bullying, teasing, violence and other social issues.
With fall just around the corner, many are getting ready to go back to school. Whether you're still in high school, doing a "victory lap" or staring your first year at college/university, post secondary education is something that may/may not be on your mind.
If it is not, ask yourself why? Many deter from considering post secondary education because of the cost. Fortunately, there are many scholarships, grants and funding opportunities that will help you get the education you need.
I am sure most, if not all, of you know that Steve Jobs has recently resigned as the CEO of Apple. At this point many are sad to hear the news and others are concerned about the future of Apple. There is no doubt that Steve has transformed today’s technology life. He has proven to be the ultimate entrepreneur as I don’t imagine starting Apple out of his garage at such a young age was an easy task.

This morning the Globe and Mail published an article: Toronto’s hottest young entrepreneurs Under 30. The Report on Small Business reports on 15 talented and exciting young entrepreneurs and their current company status.
All of these young professionals are inspiring and hold a great example of what youth can do if they put motivation towards a unique business idea they may have.
